How to Install Ubuntu 20.04 Desktop On Oracle VM Virtual Box
- Step 1: Download ubuntu 20.04 Desktop Edition
Open a browser and Goto the link
Click on the Download & save the ISO file ubuntu-20.04.1-desktop-amd64
Step:2 Once Download is completed. Open the Oracle Virtual Box (if Not installed please follow the link and install it)
Step 3: Click on the new to create a new VirtualBox & change the type for the operating system and its related version.
Step 4: Select the Memory Size (depending on your current RAM size)
Step:5 Select The Size for Hard Disk, again depending on your available size
Step:6 Once all the parameter is selected click create to create the VB. Now the most important part, goto the Settings of the newly created VB and select Storage. you can see the below snap for it.
Step:7 On the right-hand side select the downloaded iso file(ubuntu for our case)
Click OK
Step 8: Finally Click on the Start Arrow
Step 9: Select the ISO file(ubuntu 20.04 ISO file in our case) which we had downloaded earlier and selected in the settings
Checking the Disk
Checking Completed 100%
Step 10: Select English Language and Click on Install Ubuntu
Step 11: Installation Type, This is the most important part of the installation. select carefully while installation, here I’m selecting the first Option Erase Disk And Install Ubuntu because my disk is currently free.
Provide the user and password
Installation started
Installation completed. Restart Ubuntu
if you see the below startup menu while restarting. Ubuntu is Successfully installed.
